HOTLINE by Angel Rosen

A woman on the phone says

walk to the nearest sink.

I’ll go with you.

No one has stood in my

kitchen with me for years.

As water hits my face,

I pretend I am so loved.

It’s enough to think it.

I hope the next person

that calls also survives.
